On Wednesday, August 18th the Windsor Police Drugs and Gun Unit were active in a drug trafficking investigation in the city of Windsor.

The investigation centred around a male in possession of a firearm and trafficking drugs.

At approximately 7:30pm, officers located the male suspect driving a vehicle in the area of the 2800 block of Howard Avenue. Police placed the male under arrest. Upon searching the vehicle officers located and seized; loaded handgun with high capacity magazine, 0.8grams of Methamphetamine, cell phone, and a large quantity of cash.

Officers subsequently executed a warrant at a residence located in the 1800 block of Ford Boulevard. Officers located and seized two digital scales, packaging, $100CDN and two cell phones.

Justin Loma, a 28 year old male from Windsor is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, occupy motor vehicle with firearm, transport firearm contrary to regulations, possess prohibited device (high capacity magazine) and 3 counts of possession of firearm while prohibited.
