Hateful Words Against Arabic Speakers Carved Into Man’s Car In South Windsor

Police are investigating a possible hate crime in South Windsor.

On Monday, police were called to a home in the 2300 block of Longfellow for a report of mischief to a vehicle which included offensive language directed toward people who speak Arabic.

The victim told police that his vehicle was parked in the driveway on Friday and that it was damaged early morning between 2-10am.

The vehicle was found heavily damaged with scratches on the interior and exterior of the vehicle.

Police noted offensive language carved on the vehicle directed towards people who speak Arabic.

Detectives conducted a canvass of the neighbourhood and continue to investigate the incident.
