The 2016 Canadian National 3D Archery Championships takes place in Windsor starting Friday.

Approximately 200 archers ranging in age from 7 to 75 will take part in the competition at three local venues including Malden Park, the Windsor Sportsmen’s Club and the River Canard Valley Conservation Area.

The event is also drawing participants from the United States to shoot in the Guest Class event.

Registration runs from 9am to 9pm on Friday, July 29th with competition taking place Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Archers shoot at 3D targets that mimic wildlife with a variety of bows. Each competitor must shoot 80 targets in three locations.

Spectators are invited to come out and watch the competition on Monday from 10am to 2pm at Malden Park where the top two competitors from each division will compete for the top honours.
