Police have arrested an employee of Windsor Airport after a fraud investigation revealed she allegedly stole $200,000.

On February 9th, Windsor Police were contacted by management of YQG Windsor Airport in regards to an employee who was allegedly responsible for taking YQG funds.

Management advised that they became aware of the incident when they noticed inconsistencies in deposits made by the employee.

As a result of these findings, airport management conducted an internal forensic audit and found a quantity of cash that was missing.

On May 25th the findings were discussed and disclosed to investigators from the Windsor Police Financial Crime Branch.

Investigation revealed the employee allegedly took in excess of $200,000 over the course of 3 calendar years, beginning in April of 2013.

On Friday, June 10th a 54-year-old female turned herself in at police headquarters and was arrested.

The LaSalle woman is charged with theft.
