Demotion contractors were tearing down two homes owned by the Ambassador Bridge, late Friday afternoon.

The city ordered the homes, on Felix, and Edison, be demolished after they were deemed unsafe.

In total, the bridge owns 120 properties in the west end that have been boarded up and vacant for years.
