Windsor Police are investigation the possible use of pepper spray.

They say that on Sunday May 29th, 2016 around 1:45am they were flagged down by a group of males outside the Boom Boom Room located in the 300 block of Ouellette. Officers saw a number of patrons exiting the nightclub, coughing and rubbing their eyes. They also smelled a strong noxious odour emanating in the air.

Police say their investigation revealed that there was allegedly a altercation between two females inside. A male tried to intervene and a female sprayed him with noxious spray, possibly pepper or bear spray. He was transported to hospital for decontamination. The female suspect left the scene prior to police arrival. EMS attended to a number of patrons who were feeling the effects of the noxious spray.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4305, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS), or online at www.catchcrooks.com.
