Police in LaSalle continue to investigate an arson from last year.

Officials say that back on November 9th, 2015, police and fire were called to 7275 Disputed Road for a van that was on fire just after 1am.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the van was fully engulfed in flames and due to its proximity, the house nearby had also caught fire.

The fire was quickly put out. The house sustained significant damage due to the fire. The total cost of the damage was estimated at $30,000.

Investigation revealed that the fire was set intentionally.

Witnesses told police that they saw a compact sedan in the area that had a loud muffler. Witnesses saw two men wearing coveralls leaving the area when the fire was set.

LaSalle police are seeking the assistance from the public in order to identify the persons responsible for this arson.
