The Windsor Express earned their first win of the season over the Orangeville A’s, 111-94 Friday night.

Adrian Moss got the momentum going late in the first quarter for the Express after connecting on a three pointer, then grabbing a quick steal and scoring to complete a five-point swing in less than twenty seconds to give Windsor a 25-16 lead. Windsor finished the first up 28-26.

The second quarter was a very physical one. The A’s lost three of their core players after Jameson Tipping and Erik Copes were both ejected from the game, and Lewis Jackson left the game due to injury. The Express capitalized by finishing the half with a 57-47 lead.

Neither team was able to gain an edge in the third quarter as both the Express and A’s contributed 25 points allowing Windsor to hold a ten point lead, 82-72.

The Express continued their solid play in the fourth quarter and were able to pull away to earn their first victory of the season, with a final score of 111-94.

The Windsor Express will host the Niagara River Lions at home on Saturday, January 2nd at The WFCU Centre, with a 7:30pm start.

The Express will close their three game stretch on the road against the London Lightning on Sunday, January 3rd at 2pm.
