The father of a 4-year-old has been arrested by Windsor police on allegations of child abusers.

On Wednesday police were called to a local elementary school after teaching staff at the school observed injuries to the child. They called police and the Children’s Aid Society.

Police met with CAS and the victim and noticed welts and bruises to the child on his back, right forearm, right wrist, right tricep, left bicep, and stomach.

Police allege the injuries are consistent with being struck with a wire cord.

Police attended the residence of the father and placed him under arrest without incident.

The 25-year-old father is charged with assault with a weapon.
