LaSalle Police officers are investigating a break and enter that occurred sometime over the past 24 hours.

Thieves brought a ladder into the backyard of a home to get up to the second floor. The burglars then forced their way in through a window.

After stealing jewellery and other precious items the burglars left via the ladder once again and took the ladder with them.

Police are stressing that residents should keep a sharp eye out for any suspicious people, and also to keep an eye out for their neighbours who may or may not be away from their homes.

They say if you see a ladder propped up against a home, or people masquerading as workers while attempting to enter homes, to call LaSalle Police right away at 519-969-5210.
