Windsor Police are investigating after at least one gun shot was fired Monday afternoon.

Police say that around 1:15pm, a vehicle was travelling south on George Avenue in the 2400 to 2500 block.  The driver heard a loud “pop” sound and realized that his driver’s side rear tire had gone flat.

The driver of the vehicle stopped and a neighbour in the area assisted him put his spare tire on his car. The driver then took the vehicle to a service  station to have the flat tire inspected.

Police say that it appears that the damage to the tire is consistent with being caused by a bullet.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or the Major Crimes Branch at 519-255-6700 ext #4830.
