The City of Windsor is preparing to welcome refugees from Syria in the coming weeks, and on Tuesday, the Federal Government is expected to share Canada’s plan for welcoming up to 25,000 refugees to the country.

The city says that once those details are known, they will position Windsor better to respond to questions from the community and receive information from citizens about donations.

The City plans to utilize the 311/211 service and a dedicated page on the City Website will be introduced to provide information to residents. Both should be ready to help by the end of the week, well ahead of the arrival of any refugees.
