UWindsor Students To Vote On New St. Denis Centre

Students at UWindsor will soon be asked if they want to support the construction of a new Lancers Sport and Recreation Center with student fees.

The new center would see complete renovation of the existing St. Denis Centre, a new pool and outdoor facilities.

Students will be asked to vote on an annual capital fee of $125 per student term for a maximum of two terms per academic year.

The fee will be increase by an annual increment of 5% per year for the first seven years only.

The proposed fee would start in the fall of 2019 or in the academic year that the building becomes operational, whichever comes later. The term of thei fee is 30 years

The UWSA will be meeting Thursday to pass a motion that will see the campaign dates run from November 19th, 2015 to November 29th, 2015 as per the UWSA Referendum Policy.

The voting dates will be November 30th, 2015 and December 1st, 2015.
