LaSalle Police are investigating after three trees in Lafferty Park were severely damaged.

They say that the someone took a chain saw and left deep cuts on their trunks.

The trees have not fallen over, but police say they were essentially killed by this reckless act.  The trees have the potential to fall on the adjacent homes or on the park area where children often play.

The Town is in the process of contacting a tree removal service to take the trees out safely.

If you have information on who is responsible you are asked to call LaSalle Police at 519-969-5210 or Crime Stoppers at 519-254-TIPS.
