Windsor’s first snowfall of the season is starting to taper off.

Environment Canada says snow is beginning to taper off over extreme southwestern Ontario, where only a few centimetres of snow were reported.

Windsor faired much better than London to Kitchener, where total snowfall amounts are expected to be in the 5 to 10 centimetre range.

Environment Canada says poor winter driving conditions are still possible in Windsor-Essex, from low visibility in areas of heavier snow and accumulating snow on untreated highways.
