Windsor Police are sending out a warning of a recent fraud scam.

Police say that there have been numerous complaints from the public about receiving phone calls from people posing as employees from their credit card company.

The suspect will provide a reason for the call such as increasing credit card limits or inquiring about a purchase that they believe is fraudulent.

Once they gain the victims trust they will try to obtain their credit card number.

They say that if you suspect that the call is fraudulent, hang up, and call your credit card company yourself.
