Windsor Police are investigating a hit and run.

Police say around 5:30am they were called to the area of Erie Street West and Dougall Avenue for a male party that was yelling for help. Officers also received information that a 32-year-old male was brought to hospital with serious injuries to his left foot and leg.

They say that their revealed that this male was riding his bicycle in the area of Erie Street West and Dougall when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle.

He told police that he was northbound on Dougall when he saw the suspect vehicle going westbound. He tried to avoid the car but slid under the suspect vehicle and was run over by the back tire.

The driver of the suspect vehicle stopped and asked if he was ok and then drove off, westbound. He believed the vehicle was a dark older model Chrysler 300. The victim advised that two parties approached him in a white pick-up truck and brought him and his bike to the hospital. Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect vehicle or the accident to call.

They would also like to speak to the people in the white truck who brought the victim to the hospital.
