A fire on Front Road in Amherstburg has caused serious damage to a home.
Fire crews were called to Front Road North and Malden around 11pm to find heavy smoke pouring from the house and a fire raging in the basement.
The fire was finally extinguished around 3am. Investigators say the cause is undetermined and damage is listed at $250,000.
The fire caused the first floor of the home to collapse.
There were no injuries.
