Fatal Crash In Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police say that one person is dead following a crash between a cyclist and an SUV.
Just after 7pm Wednesday, emergency crews responded to the collision on Bloomfield Road between Riverview Line and Richmond Street.
Police say the investigation revealed that the driver of the Acadia was travelling southbound on Bloomfield Road when she struck the cyclist.
The cyclist, an 18-year-old Chatham man, was transported via ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Acadia, a 42-year-old Tilbury woman was not physically injured.
