Crash Traps One In Amherstburg

Emergency crews in Amherstburg were called to an accidental between a tractor-trailer and a Pontiac van.

Police say that the tractor-trailer driven by a 46-year-old male from Mississauga was east bound on North Side road around 8:30pm.

The van driven by a 51-year-old Amherstburg resident was south bound on 2nd Concession North when the tractor-trailer failed to
stop.

Both vehicles came to rest in south-east ditch causing damage to hydro pole and disrupting power to the area.

The driver of minivan required extrication.

Both parties were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries where they are in stable condition.
