Police are trying to find who is responsible after a teenager was ran over by a car on Pillette Road over the weekend.

On Sunday around 1:00am Windsor Police were dispatched to the area of Pillette Road and Ontario Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Police say a 21 year old male was walking in the area when he was approached by a group of males in a vehicle. The group exited their vehicle and allegedly assaulted the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. A 17 year old male victim tried to come to the assistance of the 21 year male who was being assaulted on the ground and was also allegedly assaulted by the group of males.

The group of males got back in the suspect vehicle and appeared to intentionally run over the 17 year old male. The 17 year old male was transported to hospital with serious injuries. He was currently moved from critical to stable conditions.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect males or the vehicle used to call. They are also asking anyone with surveillance video in the area to contact the police.
