Catherine Andary, Grade 8 student at École catholique Sainte-Marguerite-d’Youville, in Tecumseh, won first place at the 2015 Bookfest Windsor Student Writing Contest.

Andary will have the opportunity to publicly present her poem entitled Fière et Francophone!, on October 17th, at the Capitol Theater, during the Book Festival.

Her work will also be published on the BookFest Windsor web site.

The contest was opened to all Grade 1 to Grade 12 students enrolled in a French-language or an English-language school in Essex county.
