Windsor Police have arrested a teenager for theft they believe is linked to another teen who was arrested earlier this week.

On Monday September 21st at 2:30am, police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Venetian Avenue for a suspicious person who appeared to be breaking into vehicles.

A victim told police that he saw a male suspect on his home surveillance system trying to break into his vehicle in the driveway. The suspect was unsuccessful and walked away with 3 other people. The victim called the police.

Officers arrived and located a male in the area of McHugh and Katella. While stopped with the 19 year old male suspect another victim approached officers and told them that the same male allegedly broke into her vehicle and stole some items. She advised that the suspect was accompanied by two other males at the time.

Officers subsequently placed the teen under arrest.

Upon searching the suspect, officers located items that belonged the complainant and other items believed to have been stolen.

The Windsor Police Target Base Unit continued to investigate the origin of the property found in the suspect’s possession.

Police say investigators were able to link this teen suspect with the 17-year-old we reported on yesterday.

Police allege they both stole items from the same vehicle and were likely working together.

The second teen, a 19-year-old from Windsor was arrested and charged with two counts of theft and two counts of possession of stolen property.

Windsor Police are reminding the public to lock their car doors and take valuable items out of plain view.
