Old Sandwich Towne Festival Is This Weekend

This weekend Windsor oldest and most historic neighbourhood is being celebrated, with the 25th Olde Sandwich Towne Festival.

The three days festival kicks off Friday evening with a car show right on Sandwich Street near Brock Street.

There will be trial by your peers at St. John’s Church starting at 7pm and Clinton Hammond will be kicking main stage entertainment at 6pm. The evenings feature band is ‘No Drama”.

Saturday will feature a breakfast at the McGregor Cowan House, Sir Isaac Brock talk, Shamus the Story Teller, buggy rides, pony rides, face painting, The Bloomfield House, Pear Tree dedication, walking tours and children’s activities.

There will be a draw for two free bikes in front of the Windsor Port Authority at 3:30pm Saturday afternoon.

Evening entertainment will include Clinton Hammond and the 519 Band on the main stage.

Sunday again will continue with activities for children and live musical entertainment off the main stage, plus a bouncy castles and games for families.

All weekend area restaurants will have extended patios, and a showcase from the Essex County Medieval Heritage Society, The Sandwich Farmer’s Market which will also have live entertainment, there will be vendors along Sandwich Street, hay rides, buggy rides, a live fish pond, chain saw demonstration, balloon twisting and much more.
