Food, Retail Are Top Things People Want To See In Ford City

This past spring the Ford City Neighbourhood Renewal undertook an unusual method to see what Ford City visitors and residents wanted to see open in Ford City.
They collected feedback on stickers reading ‘I Wish This Was’ at four locations in the 1000 block of Drouillard Road. Three vacant storefronts and one vacant lot received over 800 responses during the campaign.
Now the results are in.
Both food and retail were the most common results with 309 people looking for food options while 233 people were looking for more retail shopping options.
Ford City Renewal says that several buildings in the Ford City BIA have changed owners or tenants recently, are there are new projects underway.
