OPP in Leeds County are investigating after the death of a Tecumseh diver in the St. Lawrence River on Sunday July 20th.

OPP say that they responded around 2pm with Leeds and Greenville EMS to a report of a diver being pulled unconscious from the water near Sparrow Island.

The male was brought to St Lawrence Park where he was transported by paramedics to hospital, where he was declared deceased.

He has been identified as 55-year-old Raymond Bloch.

The Ontario Office of the Chief Coroner is leading the investigation.

Police say that it is unknown at this time whether the death is related to the scuba diving, or a medical cause.
