A 27-year-old Lakeshore man is facing three charges after allegedly hitting someone with his car.

OPP say that around 1:10am Sunday morning, the accused and the victim were walking with their own groups of friends when a verbal confrontation took place between people in both groups.

One man got into his vehicle and drove towards one of the groups of people and struck a 22-year-old male from Quebec City and fled the scene in his vehicle. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say that Chad Landriault of Lakeshore was arrested a short time later. He is charged with assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and fail to stop at the scene of a motor vehicle accident.

He was released and will be appearing in court on August 26th, 2015 in Windsor.
