Canada customs offices have made a major cocaine bust at the Ambassador Bridge.

The Canada Border Services Agency announced today the seizure of 52 kilograms of suspected cocaine.

They say on July 27th a border services officer referred a commercial truck and trailer driven by a 26-year-old male for a secondary examination.

While searching the truck, officers discovered 52 bricks of suspected cocaine inside three duffel bags and a tote located in the storage areas of the truck.

The RCMP charged Lavdrim Mehmeti of Scarborough with importing cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
