New President For The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918)

The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) has a new president.

Michael E. Drake will be inducted as its 98th President at their inaugural weekly meeting to be held at the Caboto Club at noon on Monday, June 29th, 2015.

Drake, who has been a member of Rotary since 2001, earned his Bachelor of Arts – Honours Economics from the University of Windsor and then continued his education to achieve his Bachelor of Laws. In 2000, he was called to the Bar and began his career as an Associate with the Law Firm of Furlong, Chodola, Reynolds. In 2005 he became a Partner with the Law Firm of Chodola, Reynolds, Binder where he continues to practice today.

He has taught courses in Labour Economics, Employment Law and Criminology at St. Clair College. He has also served in a number of capacities with the Essex Law Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Library Co. which administers the County and District Law Libraries across Ontario.

His community involvement includes raising funds for the Easter Seals Telethon and serving on the Board, including a year as President, of the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County. He has also contributed greatly during his 14 years as a Rotarian, most notably organizing the volunteers for Art in the Park.
