Police in LaSalle are trying to find an SUV and the driver they believe is responsible for a hit and run that left a 38-year-old man dead.

On Thursday around 9:45pm, LaSalle Police, LaSalle Fire and EMS responded to a report of a cyclist struck in the 800 block of Huron Street in LaSalle.

Police say the vehicle and driver that struck the cyclist failed to remain at the scene or render any assistance.

The cyclist was transported to hospital by EMS where he died due to his injuries.

Police have identified him as Kevin Emisch of Windsor.

The vehicle is described as mid to full size SUV. It was last seen going east on Huron Street and then turning north on Matchette Road.

Late Friday, police released video of the vehicle they believe could be responsible for a fatal hit and run on Thursday.

The vehicle is seen travelling east on Huron Street and then makes a left turn to go north on Matchette Road.

Officers continue to investigate and request that anyone with information contact the LaSalle Police Service at 519-969-5210 or anonymously through CrimeStoppers at 519-258-8477 or 1-800-222-8477.
