Police are searching for a stabbing suspect.

Around 9pm Thursday, officers were called to the 1300 block of Wyandotte Street East for a stabbing that just occurred. Officers arrived and found group of several people standing in the area along with a 20 year old male who had suffered a stab wound to his right shoulder.

Police were told the victim approached the male suspect and an argument ensued which quickly escalated into a fight.

At some point during the fight the suspect allegedly stabbed the male victim in the shoulder. At the end of the altercation the victim told the suspect to leave the area. The victim didn’t even realize he was stabbed until after the fight was over.

Officers searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him. The victim was treated at the hospital and released.

Officers are in the process of obtaining a warrant for a 21 year old male from Windsor for assault with a weapon and 2 counts of breach of probation.
