Windsor Police have arrested two people and seized over $3000 in cocaine.

On Tuesday the Windsor Police Drugs, Intelligence, Guns, Surveillance unit and the Provincial Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy team obtained a search warrant for a home on Concession 2 Road North in Amherstburg as part of a cocaine trafficking investigation.

Just after 5pm, police say a vehicle from the home was stopped by officers on Malden Road in LaSalle. The driver, a 36 year old male was placed under arrest for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Officers searched the driver and located 1.8 grams of cocaine.

At approximately 5:20pm officers made entry into the Amherstburg residence. A 38 year old female at the residence was placed under arrest for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Officers searching the residence discovered 29.5 grams of cocaine as well as two scales. The value of seized cocaine is $3130.00, according to police.
