Police are investigating the theft of electronics from Factory Direct on Huron Church.

Officers were called Sunday and spoke with an employee who indicated that he observed a man in the store acting suspiciously.

The man had a backpack and from the backpack produced two camouflaged grocery bags. He proceeded to fill the bags and backpack with items from the store.

Police were told he left the store and made no attempt to pay for the items.

He was approached by a staff member at the front exit of the store. He surrendered one bag to the employee but fled with the backpack and other bag.

The suspect is described as a white male, 30-40 years of age, wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and a white hat. He had a black arm brace on his left arm.

The suspect made off with several blue ray DVD players, Bluetooth wireless headphones, a hair flat iron, a hair curler, and Remington hair products. The total merchandise taken is estimated to be worth over $1500.

Police are asking that anyone with information call 519-255-6700 ext. 4320 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 TIPS.
