You can take a stroll down Devonshire Mall’s ever-growing yellow brick road now that the Canadian Cancer Society has kicked off its second annual campaign.

The Windsor-Essex chapter of the organization this afternoon launched the road which consists of floor decals made to look like bricks throughout the mall.

Local Cancer Society Community Fundraising Specialist, Paula Talbot, says everyone is welcome to participate.

“We encourage people to come out to purchase these decals that represent the yellow brick, they’re $10 for personal bricks,” she said. “You can put your own name on it, the name of someone who may have lost a battle with cancer or a survivor.”

Talbot says corporate rates are also available for businesses at $25 per brick or $100 for 5.

“It is an awesome way to promote your business while supporting a great cause,” she said.

You can buy a Yellow Brick by visiting the customer service desk at Devonshire Mall or by visiting www.cancer.ca/windsor.

The Yellow Brick Road will be displayed on the floor at the mall until early May.

Organizers also want people to find their brick and Tweet/Facebook it out to their friends to help spread the Cancer Society’s message.

Money raised during the month is used to help stop cancer before it starts, stop cancer in its tracks and help those facing cancer.
