Two Windsor teenagers are facing charges after after allegedly fleeing police in a stolen car in Downtown Windsor.

Officers on general patrol around 9pm Monday saw a vehicle driving erratically and learned it had been reported stolen.

Officers followed the vehicle down Church Street and attempted to stop it at Riverside Drive.

Police say the driver and the passenger both jumped out and fled the vehicle on foot.

Seconds later, the 17 year old male driver jumped back into the vehicle and sped away east on Riverside Drive. He was stopped by police a short distance away and was arrested.

The 17 year old female passenger was arrested after a brief foot pursuit.

The driver was charged with possession of stolen property over $5000, Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000, dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police.

The passenger was charged with possession of stolen property over $5000.
