Police have arrested a man who allegedly robbed the pharmacy counter at a Shoppers Drug Mart earlier this month.

Officers were called around 9pm on March 15th to the Shoppers at Tecumseh Mall after a male suspect entered the store, approached the pharmacist while holding a small, silver gun, and demanded narcotics.

The man quickly left the store with a small quantity of prescription medication. He was last seen running west through the parking lot where he entered a smaller dark pick-up truck which was waiting in the lot. The vehicle was last seen going west through the parking lot.

Police say tips from the public helped to identify the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Matthew Ronda, 27, was arrested on Albert Road and is charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, disguise with intent and breach of recognizance.
