Caesars Windsor went dark for Earth Hour 2015 but things were brighter than usual across the Detroit River.

The GM Renaissance Centre remained fully lit during Earth Hour, a departure from previous years where the building had all non-essential lights and rooftop LED rings turned off.

Caesars Windsor celebrated Earth Hour by turning off rooftop signs, floodlights and LED screens outside.

In Sandwich Town, patrons dined in candle light at Rock Bottom bar and grill.

Earth Hour is a global climate change initiative created to encourage people to take responsibility towards a sustainable future.

During the hour of 8:30pm to 9:30pm you are asked to use as little electricity as possible.
