Police have laid a charge of murder against a Windsor man after a shooting victim from 2013 died recently.

Officers were called to a home invasion in the 800 block of Langlois Avenue on December 9th, 2013. Police said two suspects had entered the residence. One had some type of wooden club and the second suspect produced a firearm, according to police.

After a physical confrontation, a 49 year old male resident at the home suffered a gunshot wound to his head and a number of lacerations to his scalp.

The two suspects fled the scene.

More than a month later, police arrested 20-year-old Kevin Poblete and charged him with attempted murder.

The victim had been recovering from his injury but recently died.

On Friday, police arrested and charged Poblete with murder.
