Windsor new Marshalls store is now open.

The store is located in a redeveloped plaza at the former Home Depot site on Sydney Avenue, near Devonshire Mall. It’s the third store to open at the plaza. Dollar Tree opened in December and Jysk moved to the plaza from its Walker Road location in February.

The store carries a wide selection of big brand fashions, a boxed footwear department with over 3,000 pairs of brand name shoes, and home décor items.

“We are excited to launch our first store in Windsor,” says Colleen Uncao, Marshalls Canada spokesperson. “We know that Canadians are smart shoppers who seek stylish merchandise and we’re excited to provide them with incredible deals on high-quality, in-season, designer pieces.”

Marshalls started opening up stores on this side of the border in 2011, and currently has close to 40 Canadian locations.

The chain is owned by The TJX Companies, Inc. which also owns Winners and HomeSense.

To mark the grand opening of the Windsor store, Marshalls will donate $5,000 to Kids Help Phone. The ongoing partnership with Kids Help Phone is a natural fit for the brand, Uncao explains. “Supporting kids and families in the neighborhoods where our stores are located and fostering a sense of community is integral to Marshalls’ business.”
