OPP in Essex have arrested a man after he allegedly took a baseball bat to an ambulance while it was on a medical call.

Police say paramedics were called to the 100 block of Prado Street around 6am Tuesday morning for a medical call, and when they arrived, they were approached by a man with a baseball bat. Police say he then damaged the ambulance.

Police were called, and the 65-year-old man was taken into custody.

He’s charged with mischief under $5000.

There’s no word on why the man hit the ambulance.
