EnWin Utilities has released it’s version of a ‘sunshine list’ even though it’s not legally required to do so, the company said.

“The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, which is provincial law that leads to the annual release of the ‘sunshine list,’ does not apply to electricity distribution companies and their affiliates,” a news release from the company said. “In the interest of full disclosure, the EnWin boards and senior executives have voluntarily consented to the disclosure of their remuneration.”

The release said EnWin has “quickly become a leader in transparency in the Ontario electricity sector” due to its hosting of open board meetings, and salary disclosures.
