A new concentration dance program is set to launch in September at EJ Lajeunesse catholic school.

The board is investing $ 1,387,072 for the construction of the large studio specially equipped to fully promote the development and advancement of physical and artistic skills of the student dance.

The program will aim to expose students to a variety of arts, master classes, cultural outings and entertainment, in short, as many opportunities to complete the training of students.

This training will provide multiple collaborations with professional dance community and may also serve as a springboard to higher education in the field of dance. An academic coaching and personal monitoring will be undertaken by a specialist degree in education and dance. These measures are in place to assist students in their academic success and allow it to develop fully as a student dancer.

As early as September 2015, all students in grades 9 to Grade 12 Catholic High School EJ Lajeunesse may participate in dance Concentration Program. Students will also have the opportunity to be part of the elite dance troupe, following hearings. Throughout the school career in secondary school, students have the opportunity to go on stage several times during shows inside the school, but also in presentations outside in competitions and dance festivals.
