Police have arrested a teenager after he was allegedly caught graffitiing a mailbox in plain sight of a police officer.

Early Saturday afternoon, a Windsor Police officer working in the main office at headquarters observed a young male standing on the southeast corner of Chatham Street East and Goyeau Street.

Police say the officer noticed the male was acting suspiciously and was observed taking a large marker out of his pocket. He crouched down and police allege he began writing on the mailbox directly across the street.

The officer went across the street and placed the 18-year-old under arrest for mischief.
