The Le Chocolat Half Marathon, 10K, and 5Krun/walk returns to the streets of Walkerville this Spring.

This year the 2015 Athletics Canada / Canadian Masters Athletics Age-Group 10k Road Championships will take place here as part of Le Chocolat.

Chris Uszynski, Le Chocolat Race Director and founder of Running Flat says “We are honoured to invite the country to one of the most amazing courses and Cities in Canada. Running’s best kept secret will be out, a very flat and all waterfront course with the gorgeous Detroit skyline serving as the backdrop.”

In addition to the 10k age-group championship race, Le Chocolat features a half marathon, 10k walk, and a 5k walk/run through the picturesque neighbourhood of Walkerville alongside Detroit River. The event supports Sparky’s Toy Drive through donations. Le Chocolat participants over 19-years of age receive a 3L box of wine(The Pelee Purse shaped like a purse), and all finishers receive a chocolate inspired medal. Le Chocolat is the largest chocolate event in the country and the largest run in Ontario this side of the Mississauga Marathon this spring.

Race day is May 3rd and registration and race information can be found online here.
