Police are investigating after a pickup truck crashed into a traffic light box and landed on a sidewalk.

Firefighters and EMS were called around 12:30pm to Wyandotte and Monmouth for a report of a dark grey pick up truck that had hit a Hiram Walker and Sons building.

Emergency personnel found the driver being looked after by employees. No serious injuries are reported.

The truck crashed into a traffic light controller box, causing the signals at the intersection to fail. The truck came to a rest on the sidewalk on the north side of Wyandotte.

Motorists are advised to treat the intersection as a four way stop but most drivers were seen driving through the blank lights.

There’s no word yet on how the crash happened.
