Love is in the air on Ottawa Street.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Ottawa Street BIA decorated several blocks of the shopping area with pink and red and vendors are holding a contest.

“We wrapped the trees to make people curious and have the area stand out, and people have been asking,” says BIA coordinator Joan Charette.

Charette wants people to be curious about the I Love Ottawa Street contest where you can get a ballot from participating vendors to win a prize like a $500 gift basket.

“Ballots are at participating locations, posters are in the windows of participants,” she said. “Have the ballot signed by 3 participating vendors and answer 1 question – ‘What do you love about Ottawa St?'”

Charette says folks have until the end of Saturday to enter the contest. Prizes will be drawn on Sunday.
