Environment Canada issued an Extreme Cold Warning for the area Thursday morning.

This is in addition to the Cold Weather Alert that the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit issued Wednesday for the late nights and early mornings of the week.

Environment Canada says that a frigid arctic airmass will combine with light to moderate winds to produce wind chill values between -30 and -35 overnight and early Friday morning
