Entrepreneurship Centre Opens In Windsor

Today the University of Windsor’s Entrepreneurship, Practice and Innovation Centre celebrated its grand opening with announcements from the Minister of Innovation, Reza Moridi and other officials.

Moridi was pleased to announce that the province of Ontario is helping student entrepreneurs in Windsor develop skills, mentorship and hands-on experience that will help them start and grow their own business. The province has funded $1.1 million through the Campus-Linked Accelerators program to help the university’s entrepreneurial program.

The money funded has helped get the EPICentre up and running but will continue to help the program for three years.

The EPICentre was created to provide students with entrepreneurial education.  The Centre works to encourage students to start and build businesses through entrepreneurship activities and programs.

President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Windsor said the EPICentre is there for all students that are interested in starting their own business.

The EPICentre is located on the second floor of the Joyce Entrepreneurship Centre, a building connected to the campus’ new parking garage.
