One-of-a-Kind Food, Wine, Beer, Spirits Festival Coming To Windsor In 2015

On a dreary, upcoming winter’s day, the place shining the most will be inside the WFCU Centre for a one-of-a-kind food and drink festival featuring local eateries, breweries, wineries and more.

The first ever “Food & Drink on the Rink” will bring together chefs, wine makers, distillers, brew masters, caterers and food service specialists for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience that will make festival-goers mouths water, according to organizers. It will have food and beverage tastings, samplings and demonstrations from a variety of cuisine and beverage providers available in Windsor and Essex County.

“This is really a showcase of Windsor-Essex,” says organizer Jason Toner. “No other event in the area hosts breweries, wineries and distilleries together plus the food options.”

Toner thinks Windsorites are really going to like the event.

“Our goal with Food and Drink on the Rink is not only to provide an event that shows a cross section of the options currently available in Windsor and Essex County, but to also bring friends together at an event where a variety of tastes can enjoy their favourite bites and sips at the same time,” he said.

The event takes place on February 20th and 21st, 2015.
