Windsor Police are investigating a robbery that took place at a South Windsor parking lot.

On Thursday around 10pm, police were called to the parking lot located in the 1300 Grand Marais Road West for a reported robbery attempt.

Officers spoke to the victim who stated that he parked his vehicle in the north end of the parking lot. While walking through the parking lot he was approached by a male suspect who demanded that he hand over his wallet. The victim refused to give him his wallet and there was a brief physical altercation.

The suspect was observed leaving in an older black Chevy Cavalier westbound on Grand Marais Road West. The victim sustained minor injuries from the incident which were treated on scene by Paramedics.

The suspect was described as a male black, 30-35 years old, short dark hair, medium build, and he was last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue running shoes.
